Variables:

Temperature: 295 K

Prepared by:

N.I. Lisov, V.P. Sazonov

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:

The method described in Pyzuk [1] was used. No experimental details given.

Source and Purity of Materials:

Nitroethane with Methylcyclohexane

Components:

(1) Nitroethane, $\ce{ C2H5NO2 }$; [79-24-3] NIST WebBook
(2) Methylcyclohexane, $\ce{ C7H14 }$; [108-87-2] NIST WebBook

Experimental Values:

The solubility temperatures of nitroethane (1) and methylcyclohexane (2) were determined for 22 mixtures, but these data are not given in the original publication.
Upper critical solution temperature was reported to be 295.2 K at Ø1 = 0.346 (100 w1 = 42.0 and x1 = 0.486, compilers).
