Nitroethane with 2,2,4-Trimethylpentane

Components:

(1) Nitroethane, $\ce{ C2H5NO2 }$; [79-24-3] NIST WebBook
(2) 2,2,4-Trimethylpentane, $\ce{ C8H18 }$; [540-84-1] NIST WebBook

Experimental Values:

The solubility of nitroethane (1) in 2,2,4-trimethylpentane (2) at 293 K was reported to be x1 = 0.20. The corresponding mass percentage calculated by the compiler is 100 w1 = 14.1.
The solubility of 2,2,4-trimethylpentane (2) in nitroethane (1) at 293 K was reported to be x2 = 0.17. The corresponding mass percentage calculated by the compiler is 100 w2 = 23.8.
The upper critical solution temperature was reported to be 302.15 K.
